“Through many dangers, toils and snares we have already come.”
We cannot be grateful enough for all who have prayed with us and for us.
Our precious family have been a constant support and encouragement. The Lord has blessed us and kept us.
There was the time when our roof set on fire; Then the time when men were planned to destroy us and the car by throwing rocks but their arms froze when they tried. How good is the Lord!
On Saturday 24th November at 2am, we had a thief come into our bedroom and when Steve shouted,
he threw a pipe wrench at and hit him on the shoulder and forehead which bled so much and he had massive bruising down his arm and a ”racoon” eye for weeks.
It was an inside job. He came in with a key. It leaves a multitude of questions. It has been quite a stressful time.
Anne was given Proverbs 26:23-28 but we are at peace in our hearts, trusting Jesus for everything.
We have had so many expressions of love and sympathy and prayers for which we are very grateful.
We have both Kotema and Melubo living with us which is great as they are both like family and are very helpful.
We have been able to purchase 175 bags of to fill the maize stores on the farm. This is due to the generosity of friends over the world.
Unfortunately, we have had to rebuild the foundations of the maize tanks as they were being undermined by water from an irrigation channel.
The maize tanks will help to feed many in the coming months until they can plant in March or April and harvest next August, before which time the price of maize could be sky high.
The church is growing spiritually and numerically. Deo, the leader, has a true pastor’s heart.
He is so grateful to the Lord that he insists on cleaning the church toilets as he is so thankful that his life has been so drastically changed.
There is also a youth group led by Kotema and Elphace who is a medical student.
The farm is going well but still is not near to breaking even or making a profit. We need input as to know how to carry on realistically.
We still help Dr Puly with her dispensary, who in turn helps many medically, especially those from Kimashuku.
Anne has had some skin issues due to the sun which needed minor surgery. Steve has difficulties in walking.
We are hoping to fly to the UK in March for an extended period of time. It will be almost 6 years since we were last there and we hope to meet a lot of friends and family.
Thank you with love from Steve and Anne
