sorry
Blessed is the man who trusts in the LORD. The steadfast love of the LORD never ceases; his mercies never come to an end. Jer 17:7; Lam 3:22. Thank you everyone for all your support and love and prayers. Thank you, Lord for all your workings in our lives. We received a number of generous donations which have been used to build 6 houses; 2 one room and 4 two rooms. 5 houses were replacements for the houses destroyed in the floods and the last one to provide accommodation for a Maasai family that had only a broken-down kitchen to live in. We have continued to supply 20 bags of maize every 2 or 3 weeks to the needy in the community as there is a lot of hunger in the area. The church is growing and people are learning to trust the Lord instead of relying on man. The farm is doing well, but they have a problem in selling the vegetables and they need to begin marketing their wares as there is plenty of need in places outside the immediate area. This will involve transporting the vegetables to outlying areas. Please pray with us for this. We have continued to help with the medical needs of many. Yesterday in church a boy came from a very poor background, who had a maize stalk pushed into his eye as he came up out of the river. Another boy was playing with it on the bank. Mage has a serious skin cancer which spread from a lump on her inner thigh being surgically removed. Pray for her as her mother is one of our HIV widows. We have many requests for education needs and with other donors we help where we can. sorry
We had a fire in the roof of our house caused by a woodburning stove chimney which rusted through and flames caught the roof beams and set them on fire. Thankfully we had Melubo back home who had been away for several weeks and Shadrack a young man from Mwanza was here. They and Anne put the fire out. If it had been Anne and I alone, probably the whole house would have gone up in flames. On the 18th August we celebrated 40 years of living in Moshi. We invited a number of friends round to celebrate to give thanks for the Lord’s goodness to us! Steve has some sessions a week with a Parkinson’s physiotherapist. His shakings are worse than before and inconsistent. His walking is not good often with a sore back and arthritis pain in his thumbs. In his spirit he is trusting the Lord, full of hope and very thankful not to be discouraged. Anne does very well with all the pressures she deals with and her memory isn’t as good as it has been. Please pray for her for this. We have had monkeys and sparrow hawks in the garden that have decimated the bird population and this does not please Anne, who loves birds!

With much love from Steve and Anne sorry
