The farm
sorry
The rains were not very good here in northern Tz and the harvest is poor, so the price of maize is higher than usual and will rise. We are very grateful for generous gifts, for food for 2 schools as well as to fill both maize stores. We are still looking to the Lord to provide food for a third primary school which is more needy and down to the last 2 bags of maize.
I have been busy, since returning in arranging for the food for these places and Abraham also has been chasing his tail!! The primary school roof has been repaired. The farm at last is beginning to produce more income to help cover costs. We are still nowhere near breaking even, but it is more than covering the wage bill. Tomatoes especially are doing well and the taste everyone agrees is delicious (not filled with poison as they are organic). We have good unity and love now on the farm. Oswaldi has left us and Jafet and Rafael are doing well, being managed by Abraham. The water level in the dam has kept up and we wonder what the El Niño rains will bring. Floods or drought?
We are pushing ahead in faith with building 3 houses for poor families/widows as some of the houses have virtually fallen down so there is no protection from the elements. We cannot sit by and watch this happen.

Widow's house

The country is in the grip of election fever (voting Oct 25th) and many are wanting a change in the country. The issues are many. Pray for wisdom and peace and not just change at any cost. Our work permit is up for renewal mid October. Please pray it will be issued smoothly. The bible study group in Simendo continued to meet for prayer and the only lady who can read led them in the scriptures which is most encouraging.

sorry
