Street’s newsletter February 2024

Dear ,Thank you for all your support, love, prayer and patience with us. I apologise for lack of news for a long time.

A letter was started in October but I couldn’t send it.We are coming out of a 4-year period of difficulties and problems,

which have caused stresses and strains in relationships, considerable effects on health, reassessment as to where we are with the Lord and what we are doing here. The continued gifts we have received have enabled us to feed many and help medically,

educationally as well as start the farm renovation. I am sure that with honest management, prayer and righteous practices,

the farm will be able to make a huge blessing to many in the area and to break the curses of the previous manager who said that it will never make a profit, though he did very well out of it. The first goal is to break even and reach a place where it is not dependent on outside help.

Anne has been rushed off her feet as she has to do many of the jobs, I am unable to do, like supervising the renovation of the hut which was badly eaten by termites (a real problem here), which was a major project.

Please pray for her that she continues in the peace of Jesus in all she does. My physical strength has waned and walking is a problem without a crutch and someone to walk with.

The arthritis in the hands, Parkinsons and a sore back don’t help. Thankfully, my jokes are as bad as ever and my mind is clear and sharp and I have hope and peace trusting in the love of Jesus to take us through.

For some years Melubo, the Maasai boy attacked by a hippo and his older cousin Kotema who has a job as HR for a tour company, have stayed with us. Melubo is a gifted tailor. Both are a great blessing to us.

Our home has become a place to stay for Maasai from Loliondo, next to the Serengeti, when they have sick relatives in hospital. We have funny stories about these visitors to do with our food! One thought that peanut butter on a slice of brown bread looked like diarrhoea, so it was eaten upside down so as not to be seen! This comes with gratefulness to the Lord for His leading and encouragement and for your interest and support and above all prayers.

With much love from Steve and Anne
